Old-age pension
Old-age pension increment for a spouse
The recipient of an old-age pension may be entitled to a pension increment for his or her spouse and children. This also applies to common-law or married spouses of the same sex.
Special old-age pension for new immigrants
The National Insurance pays a special old-age pension to people who immigrated to Israel after the age of 60-62 (men) or after the age of 60-65 (women), and are therefore not entitled, by law, to an old-age pension.
- For heterosexual couples - the woman is not entitled to a pension if her spouse receives an old-age pension.
- In the case of a female couple who both immigrated to Israel after the age of 60-65, each of them may be entitled to a special old-age pension for themselves (this entitlement does not apply to male couples).
